I bred a few time about four years ago, but have stopped for multiple reasons. I stopped for what was originally a break after I lost one of my hens. Currently I just enjoy them as pets cause they're amazing .
I've considered maybe breeding again a few years in the future, doubt it'd be with any of my current flock though. It's not something I'd start up randomly again.

Petco and Petsmart label them as parakeets here lol

Even tho we call them parakeets here, I still like to call them budgies, it just sounds cuter
And then the people in Petco look at ya funny when you call them that too

Well they also say a teeny cage with a bunch of tunnels and colored plastic is appropriate for a hamster so

I doubt she will cause that would be A LOT of critters but yeah, buying them just gives them money and makes them do it more. Although I always wanna rescue the dying bettas

I'm just glad my nearest TSC finally put a sign up "Last shipment of chicks this year." It'll be safe to go in again without worrying about seeing oh they're adorable chickies and fighting chicken math.

I swear it didn't matter what day of the week I went in, they would have a fresh shipment that day. And even tho I don't need any, ya still have to stop and watch the cuties and hey I was in a hurry ya know!
