DAY 56 CLUCKMAZING FACT~ Many people think chickens are vegetarians, but besides eating seeds, grass, and grain, they will catch and eat insects, lizards, toad, and even field mice!

To add to your list: salamander.
I have seen mine eating a salamander once (protected species where I live).

No, we don't. Well.. we do but we didn't use it when the chickens had been eating the rat, we did it afterwards filling in the holes.. nasty critters. Neighbors cats eat their rats.

Now that is an interesting fact! I still have a long way to go before my girls get old, they're 11 months now. But looking forward to growing older (I'm old now) with them.

DAY 57 CLUCKMAZING FACT~ So what happens when a chicken’s hearing starts to deteriorate? Simple, they grow new hearing cells. They are able to regenerate cells as they are needed so that the affected bird has near 100% hearing!
