LOL!!! You AND me both!!!! Gonna take a looooooong time to get them "right" tho, so I'm trying the blues first. Besides, my blues have better type than my lavs do, so at least I *should* see improvement sooner with them. Here are some pics for ya - they're molting here tho, so excuse the feathers...

In my opinion Blacks are the best for a new person. It is easier to get good birds to start with. There are many good whites out there also but require more intensive care than blacks. The advice to get the best birds you can afford is great advice. You only need a few to get started. Breeding any real show quality birds will require AI or plucking the proper areas for good egg fertility.

Hi guys - it's been a LONG time since I checked in here, I've been SO busy! Plus, ever since that big windstorm we had here in the midwest a few weeks ago, our stupid sattelite internet's not working the way it should.

That one lone little Columbian chick that I posted a picture of about a month ago and pegged as a little roo the day he hatched? IS a boy!

I'm going to take new pictures of him too, he's turning into a handsome little guy. I have 10 more Columbian eggs cooking away in the 'bator, and one silly girl sitting on 8 eggs.

And I have two new pairs of Columbians arriving in the next few weeks!!!

One from cochinman2005, and another '09 hatched pair from the same line (remember those links I sent you yesterday, TennesseeTruly? I broke down and bought one of the pairs at the last moment
