Bo,
I may want one of your males.
I have eggs in the incubator from both Big Momma who was killed and Little Momma with the Barred Roo Sweet Harry over them both. The blacks are beautiful.....their type was good on both of them. My roo was an accident that we bought last year and ended up with just one cochin out of 29 chickens. We culled the heck out of the excess roosters but kept Harry because he was so sweet. He is huge. The girls were a little smaller. I had two black males that I got at the same time I got the females. But they were mother daughter and father son and I was determined to put a different bloodline in to the mix. Found a good home for the boys.
I would like to increase my flock of cochins. Can't help but love their nature and simply watching them. I have another flcok of mixed chickens. And I have a flock of Barred rocks....with a mean rooster that will be replaced this year.
I still would be interested in a few eggs out of your black cochins if I could get them.
I, too, live out in the boonies. Town is a post office. I am East of Ft. Smith off Hwy 22, past Paris but still in Logan County in Delaware. It would be a partial day trip to pick up some eggs.....just sayin'
