Hmmm...that's...interesting. I don't think that the frizzle really looks that great with the Columbian color - I like the Red and White frizzles the best.
I have some Bantam Columbian Cochin eggs in the 'bator right now. I just set them yesterday - they were shipped, so I'm praying to hatch at least 2. I don't even care if they're hens or roos, as long as I get 2.
I just got three baby cochins - I hadn't planned on having the breed but I could not resist their cuteness.
You can see this sweet little girl is just starting to get her frizzle on!
and I have 2 that came from the same pappa but didn't get the frizzleness:
Can any of you Cochin lovers speculate on what the second pair might look like when they grow up? The colors of the possible mammas were: Buff, Barred, Black, Gold Laced, Sliver Laced and Red. The pappa is buff with black tail and wings - is that a specific color?

I am by no means an expert - just a girl with 2 cochins who does a lot of reading - but Buff with black in the tail and wings sounds like maybe an incomplete (clear-necked) Buff Columbian? That first little chick looks like a Columbian to me...Someone just posted a link to an Eggbid auction with a Frizzle Columbian a page back if you'd like to go take a peek for an idea of what that one will look like when it matures:

I have 11 Bantam Columbian eggs in the 'bator right now! (no frizzles though)
No idea on the second pair of chicks though.
Hopefully someone will come along who can educate us both!
