Cochin Thread!!!

Here are my little hatchery nuggets. I'm not expecting grandiose things from them, but they sure are cute. Black has a little white spot on head, could that mean barred? The lother one I think is gold laced like someone mentioned.

Can anyone tell me what the color of this hen would be called? Shes a cochin bantam from TSC last year. I've googled "silver penciled" and "silver laced" and neither of them seem quite the same. Any thoughts? When she bred with a Silver Laced cochin bantam roo, the chicks turned out solid black.
She is a silver lace.

she is silver laced... did the chicks mature black or just start out black? most of my silver lace chicks start out black with silvery wings and develop the lacing usually with the second set of feathers.

They feathered out all black and have stayed that way so far, they are 6 months old now. So far no lacing in the feathers at all. Interesting that two laced parents produced all black chicks.

I am currently the #1 exhibitor of Columbians in the USA using the Cochin International breeders points list. I have to hatch a lot and save a few to get good ones. Some of the best Columbian breeders will not do well in a show. . I absolutely love the Columbian pattern.. When you want to learn about a variety ask questions. I did. Always consider the source.
