In the Brooder
Thanks, that's what I am thinking too. He hasn't shown any pink in his comb yet. Might just be a late bloomer!

Living with anticipation for a month. My Mottled Cochins started laying. I opened the first couple of sets checking for fertility. It seems there is a party going on out there because almost all had a bullseye. I have a broody white Silkie showgirl who is playing Mama to the eggs as non of the Cochins are sitting. I set 7 Cream Creasted Legbar eggs yesterday AM so I tucked 2 Cochin eggs in to split things up. Fingers crossed between Cher (my little fluffy Mama want a be) and the incubator batch.![]()
He/she is really cute! awww
I was gifted a little cochin chick several months ago. She's my first and, so far, only cochin. I'm hoping someone here can tell me what her coloring is called. I didn't have any luck with my google searches.

What she looks like is my third generation crosses of my Columbian cochins and my Millie Fleur D'uccle. In the third generation the brown has started to show through on the Columbian like that. So I don't think it's a recognized color but a mix of Columbian and Millie Fluer.I was gifted a little cochin chick several months ago. She's my first and, so far, only cochin.
