- What are you using as leg bands on those itty bitty guys?
Those are just the smallest little zip ties. I bought assorted colors so I could tell the chicks apart. I like to watch progression as they grow feather out. I take lots of pics and try to learn things to watch for. When they start to get tight, I clip it off and replace with the same color.

I have a preschool class and they called these chicks the "Penguin Babies" because of their color and pattern....LOL
My friend has these babies now all grown up and they just started laying!!!!![]()
