Actually, I know that the Red variety isnt as popular as some others and its much harder to find any decent birds around. I am interested in mainly that the birds have good feathering for the frizzles and the best possible Red coloring I can find. Type is what I am wanting to improve on with this variety, so I am not expecting to find any typey Reds, if I do then its just icing on the cake

I would rather find adult or juvenile birds but if I have to I guess I woulc always order from a hatchery to get started.

I have some red bantam cochin chicks coming from a hatchery next week.

I have that one red roo from DANNY and would be thrilled to find older red pullets or hens for him.

But as you say, they are hard to find.

Hi, everyone.

Popping in to remind everyone about the recognition awards.

We want to validate the efforts and contributions of our members who give sooo much. This community is special because of the efforts of its members, and we all want to honor that.

NOW: get to nominating, if you haven't already!

Remember, each BYC member may nominate one member each month for each of the three recognition categories: BYC Friend, BYC Educator, and BYC Spirit. That's three nominations each month, and we want to see more submissions!

Use the Nomination Submission Form to make your suggestions.

Thanks!

I was bored the other day with all this rain, so I thought I would wonder out and take pics of my White Frizzle pair. Its amazing how much they has changed since I got them a little over 3 weeks ago, especially their wings and feet feathers. They both have been dropping feathers like crazy since I got them, and I think this has something to do with her not laying yet. It was really rainy and blah outside, so her feathers dont look the best they could, but she was still looking pretty good. Hope you all enjoy:

And she was preening herself in these pics, so it looks like her head is missing, lol.

This little one is part of a sizzle breeding project so s/he is half fizzled cochin and half silkie. Any idea what color this may be? He/she is about a week old now and feathers are coming in some white and some black on the wings. Mottled?

Okay, that is it! I have got to breed some Frizzles to my white roos! I love the Frizzles but do not have a white one yet, only my white Cochins. Those are just lovely white puff balls when Frizzled.
