Mine are 8 weeks and haven't started crowing. I'm sure on my cockerels, though, because their combs and wattles started growing and turning red at around 3/4 weeks and are noticeably larger than the pullets, who still have tiny combs and no wattles. I have 1 cockerel (out of 5) who has already started jumping on the girls (guess he's just an early bloomver. lol!), but none of the others have. What is leading you to believe yours are roosters? If it's their combs and wattles or pointy hackle and saddle feathers, then they probably are roosters. Some roosters just don't get hit by their hormones until much later.

Yes, maybe they are just late bloomers? I had posted pics of them a couple months ago and the consensus was that they were cockerels, maybe I should post pics again? I don't really see any saddle feathers or pointy hackle feathers yet, but their combs and wattles are definitely larger then everyone else and very red.

I have a four month old rooster he just start to crow a week ago.

This is actually my first time dealing with large fowl Cochins, so I'm not sure exactly when their hackle and saddle feathers start developing. Going by their combs and wattles seems to be pretty accurate and is all I've had to go on so far. My batch is looking like 5 rooster/ 4 hens.

The roosters have the nicest coloring, too!

It couldn't hurt to post new pics just to re-confirm one more time.

Thanks, but I don't think I could part with her! Her color is pure white. She's so soft and seems to love it when I hold her close and pet her. Everytime I look at her, her legs and feet seem more and more feathered! Not bad for a hatchery bird!

which hatchery? I may try geting from them

thanks

Got her from Meyer Hatchery. She reminds me of a big white Peony blossom.

he is a red brown

that I am vary sure of.

brown red is a black bird with red hackles and saddle. he appears to be possible langshan mix

Is this a standard sized bird? If so there are no Brown-Reds in the standard sized Cochins. He is also definitely not a purebred Partridge Cochin, and I agree with Mandy, I'm not sure it's a pure Cochin. It could very possibly be a Langshan cross, it has the right posture for it, he may also be just a VERY pretty chicken.

I'm doubtful of the Langshan mix. The toe and leg feathering is too heavy, The upright stance is not there and there are only three "accepted" colors of Langshans, blue, black and white. He looks to have gold lacing on his breast. Can you get a front-side view of him?

He is very pretty. Is it possible that he is a mix of Cochin colors, such as the Golden-Laced Cochin mixed with a buff or black Cochin?
