Cockerel injured badly please help

Came home and found my cockerel injured badly don't know what attacked him. . Also has these white things on his head. Please any help what is the white stuff.

I know it's late but can anybody help me. I've been searching online cant find anything that looks like that white stuff on his head

That could be pus..... Clean it with betadine and put some calendula..... I put some t bac cream which i got from my surgery which works well.... Be careful for maggots....all the best..... God bless take care

You need to clean him and get those off before they hatch. Once thoroughly clean I would lather it in neosporin (without the pain relief) and probably keep him either in the garage or inside to keep the flies away b

Looks like maggot eggs to me too. How much time passed between the time you last saw the cockerel uninjured and found him injured? If it was something like all day, then the flies likely got to him and laid eggs on his open wound(s).
