Coffee's ready...

Aye and he looks quite the part too!Heart attack and he is only 51? I had better go and have a check up!I wanted to go and buy a motorized bicycle and my dear wife gave me the stop sign for that!

Karl - sorry your wife is not keen some folk are scared of motorbikes etc. With good reason as there have been terrible accidents on them and your not as protected as you would be in a car or 4x4. ( She is only worried about you!!! ) I am I guess different to a lot of girls in that I encouraged DH all along. I never told him to "get rid" of the motorbikes. I have enjoyed and loved everyone and even shed a few tears when he sold some.

Now after the Heart attack we don;t do bikes anymore but he is doing a boat up in the garage! So that will be ready for the water soon. He gets a lot of pleasure "rescuing things". I will post a pic of her once she is finished. He did a camper van last year and I posted pics of that on here. He got a good lot of money for her when we sold her.

Anyhow do keep trying to post your pics. you have a lovely lot of land and all - we want more land for pigs and goats but DH isn;t able for it right now.

Sissy that is great news,It is amazing how hard it is to recoop from injury or illness as one gets older.I myself am recooping from a back strain,"shovelling feed 2 weeks ago"And sat I redid it pulling the lawn mower out for DD.
I have tickets to the indiannapolis on sunday. We usually go every year,Ialways dread the travel but enjoy the moment.
Oesdog thankyou for all the help on posting! I'll try for some shots of the property as I progress. I just spent a huge sum on having the pond and surrounding land cleared and leveled so it is all dirt right now ,it will be more comely after it gets green!well back to the grind God Bless!

Well - I am giving up Coffee - no more Coffee
WE ARE MAKING WINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is kind of really exciting because DHs sister came back from the mainland after being away for 8 yrs and now lives real close. Anyhow she is brillient at making Wine and all that so we just started with her instruction!!!!!!!!!!! OMG its great !!!!!! I am soooooooooooooooooo excited. We have a Chardonnay Grape wine on the go and an elderflower Champagne and we are also starting a Rhubarb because I have mad Rhubarb in my yard and 4 lb of frozen stalks in my freezer as well. We are going to make Rhubarb wine pie with the pulp and also DSIL is helping us make some Rhubarb and ginger jam too!!!!! Oh I just love her she came over tonight like Mary poppins with her carpet bag bulging with all sorts of stuff to do wine with - !!!!!!

So now I have DemiJohns blupping away in my Kitchen and I am spending so much time watching those darn bubbles comming out the tops!!! Unfortunately Cath says it will be a while untill we are able to partake of the brew - so were planning a bit of a party - ok I guess I may need the Coffee for after.

1 Timothy 5:23
Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine!!!! - Now that is a really fine verse to hang onto just now!!! Was looking it up in the good book and found out wine is mentioned nearly 300 times !!!!!! I had a minister once who always made his own wine and bread for church service - !!! DH also makes bread - ohhhhhhhhhhh just thought of that!!!! Now Ijust need to figure how to make cheese? Need some goats now??? I am sure Jesus was excillent at producing wine! he is probably having a good old laugh at this crazy woman who keeps running up to the Demijohns to watch the bubbles!!!!

Yes it was ok even my laborador would drink it.When it got old we would add 7 up.You must remember we were only teenager and yes it clouds up for a while then clears when the yeast activity slows,If I remeber right.Nuff bought that this is the coffe thread and it is time for some .It is 4:30 here and I half to finish a job for the local paper mill,Ya'll have a good week end God bless!

I would love to try making wine. I remember my Mom tried the balloon method once and it turned into vinegar.

My BF makes beer - I bought him the kit for Christmas, and he has made some really nice brews. I'd also like to go out to a farm near here that sells goat milk and try my hand at making cheese.

I have two chicks! Finally! Two little Appenzeller Spitzhaubens. I'm so excited. I'm trying to feather sex chicks, and I'm pretty sure the first is a pullet. The second is still in the incubator drying off, and I have at least three more pips. My only LaFleche egg kept wiggling and wiggling but hasn't piped. I'm so excited I finally have a few chicks after all this craziness with the broodies and borrowed incubators and shipped eggs. (and expense!!)
