Coffee's ready...

Good morning people,
I hope everything is going well with everyone. It looks like another nice day here, cooler then the last few, but no rain. The garden is dry enough to be able to till it. I am only 6 weeks late

. It has been a very wet spring. It's a big day for the meaties, they are going out into the tractor. Vacation starts this weekend, but then again some people say I am on vacation both mentally and/or physically all the time. We helped the little rat move this weekend from one side of town to the other. Here new apartment is bigger then our house

you are the wise one! How old is the upwardly mobile son?

He is 23yrs old but he has frontal lobe damage to his brain which means he has little insight into things and cannot manage his own funds and is very socially vulnerable. So he can be a lot of hard work!!!!! He is getting 20hrs community care and meals on wheels at the moment which is a great help though the care is still not in place quite yet as weve had to fight to get it. Now I have to tell them hes gone and moved house again!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

How about this - -

Ds is 13 and grounded. . . .been grounded and it has now been EXTENDED!

Yesterday, I told Ds- - - -go feed the 3 pens of chicks chick starter.
Then told Ds - - - go water the 2 pens of marans.. .

Ds came back each time and saind "DONE" .. . .

Dh and I go out to check and find
1.) One group of chicks with NO FOOD
2.) BOTH groups of marans without water ( actually water was low -- not close to having been just filled)

Ds at 13 AND currently grounded and totally LIED to us about the assigned tasks. He just doesn't get the BIG PICTURE - - you know the one where you won't get off restriction UNTIL MOMMA is HAPPY!

Not the same as not liking DD's boyfriend. . . .but it sure is frustating. I DON'T play with my animals! Lying is bad enough, but when an animal could DIE because of your lack of care- - - OMG - - -save me from my own children!

OOOOO.... that would have had me hoppin mad!! It's one thing to not do what I ask, but if it involved the safety of animals I'd be TICKED, too! Hopefully it will have been a lesson learned - sometimes they just don't think. That's why we are in charge of them until they are - I dunno - 28 or so?

The end of the year here is CRAZY. I can't wait till I'm out of school next week...... Ah, I feel better already just thinking about it....

Good morning chicken wranglers,
Parents with laments I should say!"
O" I am sorry,I know you have had time to adjust but how difficult It is to care for those loved ones that are not socially adept and somwhat impaired.I raised a severly disabled nephew for 2 years so I have some insight, and one of my adopted children is not quite connected socially in that he does not have any sense of responsibility and just lives of people instead of taking care of himself!
Now begins the rant!Math ace My DW just called and was yelling at me because the 12yo boy pretended he did not know he is responsible for the peeps feeding and watering.
It was not done in toime for the family to leave on time,/Well he is 12 leave him home to do his chores, was my responce.
DD's bnoy friend gives me the shivers,Icalled to ,hi m to ask a question ,I said his name aloud and his reponce was SSup?I immediately said hay I'm not your high school buddy. And was In Deep trouble from both females in the house,Ido not like him sam I am,I do not like him in the house I do not like him with a mouse, I would not like himSoI just grouse I will not like him yesterday I will not like him anyway,He puts my nerves up on the edgeNow I must stop this little pledge or I may go a bit to far and say something that's not on par! God Bless!

OMG - Hay guys I just noticed I got an award?????? This is just awesome!!!!!!!!

I am thrilled!!!!! - Now all I have to do is figure out what it means so need to go look it up

KArl - I bottled out of telling the Social worker DS moved again!!!!! Thing is its only a few doors away but it makes soooooooooo much bother when it comes to care givers and paperwork etc. Also had to sort everything out cause he never told his land lord and the new landlord is just some fellow he met who has basically upped and gone and left his bungalow ????? Very strange but DS liked the place as it has a garden and it not being an appartment means he doesn;t have random folk downstairs he doesn;t know!!! Also good garden for his Dogs. Still lota of money and all sorts to sort out for us as the boy has no understanding of things like - when you leave a rental you need to tell your landlord and put right anything that is wrong - like manky carpet or Dog eaten doorframes which poor DH has had to do!!!!!!! Not easy.

We also have the other twin who is very much more disabled but in many ways easier to handle cause we know where he is!!!!! He only functions like a baby. Bit of a pain sometimes though as he never sleeps and was up from 3.30am this morning. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DD came over today with baby Jess and it was great fun to have them and we sorted last minuite thnigs on the boat. Then DSIL came over to finish what she needed to do to help DH with the wine which still looks a bit like the dregs from the compost heap!!! She is convinced it will tast ok???? Will let you all know!!!

Time for a coffee I think as its been a right old day. glad its the weekend as the Social worker in charge of DS isn;t on again till Monday. Maybe I will leave that geme to DH!!!
