Here’s some more pictures of them all from earlier and I’m gonna go try to get better pictures.

Sorry for all the pics :lau

And sorry they’re not great... I had just turned the light on and woken them up to get more pics so they were a little bit wild and crazy and wouldn’t hold still. :lau

The BO’s comb looks red here but from the side it looks tiny and doesn’t look quite as red in person so :fl

What do you guys think on the Lavender Orpington? Boy? :(

You can see both Wellies together in the second to last pic

I’m on the fence with your EE, that combs big, but at that size I’d think the “three rows boy” rows would be far more predominate IF that was going to be a for sure indicator and it’s not always.

the welsummer and buff look like pullets. What’s the lavender?

Yeah, that chick is really throwing me off. Guess I will just have to wait and hope it is a girl and not a late blooming cockerel :lau :fl

I’m glad I have some girls at least cause I couldn’t keep 9 cockerels and would also be devastated if that were the case :lau

The lavender is an Orpington and I am hoping it is a girl as it has a fairly small comb still but it’s pretty red so not looking good. :(

I just posted some (okay, a lot  ) more pics of all the chicks including a close up of its comb.

But here’s that pic again

6 weeks ... I’m less on the fence about that Orpington. But I don’t know.... Orpingtons are hard. I’ve had a few 16+ weeks until I could figure it out.

In many of your lavender photos the comb does not look like a boy to me. That’s why I asked. It sort of has boyish feathers, but they probably don’t mean anything either way at 6 weeks either. But then in the last close up photo you posted it certainly looks advanced for 6 weeks....

Tomorrow can you get a photo of it’s wattles and the buffs wattles for comparison? I actually find the wattles sometimes give a clearer indication of things.
