Buy local. You' may pay a smidge more (but not always!) but you're usually getting better meat ... and supporting a local farmer/market instead of the big chains.

Our farmer's market is cancelled indefinitely. I was hoping it would open because that would at least be a good source of chicken and pork cuts. At least my small local grocery seems to be less affected by the meat shortage than bigger chains, as they're sourcing much of their product from smaller farms/butcheries.

Wow!! That's a long time. I am working at home indefinitely and am 100% a-ok with it. I get a lot more done, a lot faster.

The company was extending out work-from-home 15 days at a time... guess they got sick of doing it piecemeal and just decided to copy Amazon corporate and extend it through a big block of time.

Hubby would actually prefer to go back to work in the office (he doesn't miss the commute, but could do without dogs skittering back and forth all day) but I doubt he'd actually go back within the year even if the company and state ok'd it. Really no reason to take the risk and do so. If he has to meet with a client (pretty rare), it would be at a location of their choosing anyhow.

I’d love to get a cow but dh was raised on a cow farm and swears he’ll never have one again. We’re also both lactose intolerant so can’t get a dairy cow either. Oh well, I don’t really need more work in my life right now anyway lol

You may be able to tolerate goat milk.

My daughter and I are lactose sensitive and goat milk works for us! And goats are awesome

I just wanted to drop by and say that the lockdown is getting really bad. A person on my road O.D. today and it is most likely from the stress, many people around the US have been, sadly, killing themself because of COVID-19. I want to tell you, hang in there everyone, we will get through this.

Jack isn’t really crazy at all and is mostly pretty mellow and chill but he’s just a big wimp he’s just still scared of me for some reason haha he’ll come around. he’s a really good boy. He’s only just now finally starting to try to mate the hens and he’s only tried twice so far

And awww that’s awesome!!! I love silkies but don’t have any atm lol

You may be able to tolerate goat milk.

Goat, sheep or buffalo milk will not help, because all milk contain lactose. Cow milk have more lactose though. I feel sick in stomach when I drink cow milk but I do fine on buffalo and goat milk. I guess I am only slightly lactose intolerant.
