I lost about 35 lbs for my wedding doing Atkins. I had to quit most carbs. I still miss bread and french fries. And potato chips....I cheat a little more now that I dont have to squeeze into a big gown but after I cheat I fast for the majority of the next day to make up for it. I usually dont get hungry until around 1pm now and I wake up at 6 am. Ive gone from a size 22 to a size 12 but it took me a whole year. Im about 15 lbs away from being a healthy weight for my height.
I lost about 30lbs since 2012, found out then I was intolerant to wheat and cows milk .... and glucose was getting high. Of course now the cholesterol is high 😱

but still need to lose about 20.... just glad I have kept it off..used to yoyo for decades.

Ive tried so many diets its like a cruel joke. Atkins and intermittant fasting was the only thing that worked for me. Especially since I despise the treadmill
 
Hmmm. I need to lose about 20. I've gotten off cow's milk but nothing's happening. I eat whole grains, not white, and practically no sugar. Have done so for years. Not sure what else to change. My ankle's getting stronger, increasing exercise. That's probably going to be the key for me.
I walk the dog every other day but thats about all the exercise I get. We do a half to a full mile depending on the weather.
 
Me too! Of course when I started it was so easy for kids to buy them. Vending machines everywhere!
Oh wow. Ive only ever seen one of those in my entire life. It was in a bar and it no longer worked. It was pretty much just decoration. I started by stealing them from my parents. They usually didnt notice if one or two went missing. I only mention it because if anyone is a parent here that does smoke be sure to put your packs up and away from your kids. Especially if they are teens

Swap out high calorie with veggies.... limit fruits too. That helped me...along with doing exercises when ever I thought I needed a snack... Usually the thought of that was enough to not snack lol

And drink a full glass of water when you're craving a snack. That helps too because it fills up your stomach. I try to tell myself "you're not hungry you're just bored"
