Re diabetes. My dr never used that word. He said I was "insulin resistant." It was confusing, esp since my glucose numbers were never high. More on that in a minute. He Rxd me Metformin. I was not consistent in using it; it made me constipated. Well, long story short, he canceled the Rx since I wasn't using it anyway. I have lost 30#. But my numbers have remained the same: 100-104 fasting in the morning and about 126 two hours after eating. I guess maybe I was AT RISK of becoming diabetic (overweight with a family history), but ... am I okay now? I eat good. Three small meals a day, no snacking. No sweets, I don't crave them. Balance: mostly plant protein, complex carbs and only a minimal amount of healthy fats. It's working for me, I feel great.

That is interesting. My specialist would have said you are having great readings.
My target readings are higher than those.

Glad it’s working and you feel better now!! I think maybe insulin resistance can lead to diabetes? But glad everything seems to be under control now!!!

I need to work on my snacking and smaller meals. I eat huge meals

But I also usually only eat once or twice a day. At least real meals. I am constantly snacking and eating. :lau

I'll always preach how great a plant based diet is. Makes you feel good on the inside and makes you look good on the outside.

What I would suggest is reading some non US based media. It helps to get a more balanced view.
"According to the Anti Defamation League the webzine The Unz Review is an "outlet for certain writers to attack Israel and Jews". It has also been described as "an alternative conservative website", and "a mix of far-right and far-left anti-Semitic crackpottery"
