It would depend. Older eggs in the frig last for months, true. Eggs in a nest at 90F, not so long!

I also might've done that as a kid... honestly we never used the dishwasher much (I was the dishwasher) so I didn't realize that regular dishsoap would turn into a bubble bath nightmare in a dishwasher!

I was the dishwasher of the house when I was little and only had a few here or there for short periods of time as an adult.
Probably one of the reasons I LOVE my dishwasher now. I got's more important things to do that rubbing dishes!!

I actually avoided using the dishwasher even as an adult, until hubby finally made a request - he said try it out (and it was with a brand spanking new dishwasher that had never been used.... I had been using it as a dish rack for years and only ran it to clean it out!) and if I wasn't satisfied with the results, he would never ask me again why I was so fixated on handwashing everything.

So I tried it. And everything came out shiny. And I stopped handwashing everything. Still need to handwash about half the stuff, but it is a time savings.

My Cornish rocks are probably 4+ lbs. they have huge breasts. This weekend will determine if I’ll ever do them again.

my cockerels dress out 5 to 7 lbs at 16 wks.. but they are F3 CX mix
I would save the cx and put them on diet and exercise.. my pullet didn't live past her first egg laying season, and the offspring haven't lived past 3 , but those meaty cockerels ...

My one Freedom Ranger pullet survivor (escapee when it was freezer day!) grew big, and had a couple of medium sized eggs per week, and went to the freezer the following year. I never tried to keep any of the others, either rangers or Cornishx.
So your experience is interesting, good for you!

Okay, I posted this on Monday and I am happy to say that apparently Wesley, now aka FarmBoy, was not one of the first three Aussies processed yesterday. I can now identify him from the remaining three and will spare him, as promised. Tonight we will separate him from the other bachelors and put him back in the general population. The other two bachelors will be processed Friday. Here's FarmBoy with Buttercup, his True Love, a little bit ago. Hmm. That's weird. Not sure pic attached. I will post, and edit if it is not there.

I don’t like how dishwashers was dishes. I probably would still hand wash my dishes even if I had a dishwasher.

Funny ... I'm the same way. Sometimes, my dishwasher is just a glorified drainboard!

Mine is a Bosch, highly recommended by Consumer Reports. Last year our old kitchen, with it's dying appliances, was redone (Yahoo!) finally, and this new one has been really nice.

Our house was built in 1968, and we bought it in 1991. The kitchen had appliances and countertops replaced after we moved in, but we didn't buy the place because we liked the kitchen in the first place. FINALLY in 2019 it's new!
