Poor little guy.

Anyone that would keep a living animal inside there whole life shouldn't have any animals.I would report him to animal control, who knows what else he is keeping locked away in cages.

Regular bathing will be good.He will probably have to molt to regain (normal) feathers again so be patient.Massaging his oil gland with a warm wet towel may help since its likely it may be clogged due to lack of access to water.

Ok...so I've got nutridrench in the water..he's drinking that, and I've seen him eat maybe 4 little pellets of food and tried eating at some grass...I'm going to make you guys a video...I believe he's got very little eyesight. Not sure yet on a name, but yes I'm thankful he's safe now!!

Bless his heart once you introduce him to your female she’ll help him navigate. Hopefully she’ll take to him right off once you introduce them. I hope he can see to find food an water. This is just the saddest thing I have ever heard of from a breeder.

I have an update! So far the goose's name is Chance...with the kids that's always subject to change.
He is not aggressive at all...doesn't mind being handled. Haven't gotten any loud honks or noise out of him...you'll see in the video his means of communication is very quiet. I've got the vitamins and electrolytes going in his water bucket and he's definitely drinking it! Haven't seen him eat much, but he is trying. I think tomorrow I will water down a dish of the pellets and see if he may prefer that. He's not terribly interested in the grass, but he tries. It's quite obvious that he's been left in a cage for the 6months of his life. The feathers on his chest are all broken and stained, like hes been laying down in filth constantly. Worried about this special boy tonight...would love to keep him inside, but unfortunately outdoors is exactly what he needs most. Thank you all for your support and help through this!!
