Still only have two layers. Some days they both lay an egg, those are great days!!! The girls will all be 23 weeks tomorrow! Hoping the other 13 will stop slacking and give their sisters some help.

Wow! Nicey’s egg is getting bigger!❤ I’m sure they’ll all start laying soon. Did you figure out who the mystery layer was? Goldie my 24 week old laid her first egg yesterday and today she laid the largest one out of the entire flock.

It’s bigger than the store bought egg (white).

This is a photo comparing her first egg and today’s egg. I watched her hatch both of them. Not sure how the second one is so much bigger than the first one but no complaints here.

Those eggs are so gorgeous with the little speckles! These first eggs are so special! I usually get one or two eggs a day. Not sure that any others are laying. I know Henrietta is the only giving me all my green eggs. Not sure if someone else besides Nicey is laying brown eggs. They all look like different shades to me but obviously they can vary in shades of brown like your last photo!

I think another BSL or a Welsummer is laying too. Yesterday I got FOUR EGGS

This morning I already had two and Esmeralda was still in the nest box, haven’t gone to get hers yet (the two in the left are from today compared to a brown one from yesterday)

The other day I got a green and a brown SPECKLED ONE

I am having so much fun collecting eggs!!! Totally worth the agonizing wait!

I am up to 6 or 7 layers!!! They really all start rolling in once a couple get going. One of the Brahmas is laying (not big momma). I got a tiny pink egg from them two days in a row!
I actually pre-ordered some chicks for next summer and got one CCL and one Whiting True Blue to add blue eggs to my light brown, dark brown, pinkish, dark green and light green eggs. I guess SOMEONE heard me talking about it because look- is this a blue egg?!?!?

I’m so in love with all these colors. I’m out checking the nest box several times a day to collect the treasures!!

It was huge!!! None of them have been doubles yet! I’ve Been hoping one of the big ones would turn out to be a double.
