LOL! I do sell them on line. That's what my web site is besides the one on my ebook on carebears. Sales have been slow this year. Like everyone I suppose.

Thank you for the sweet compliment.

In fact that one is for sale in my shop but I made one just like it for my daughter because she liked the design. It's a goose egg. Just right for a ring keeper.

Wow Jacies the egg is the most beautiful thing I have seen made from an egg. WOW

I just remembered a very simple and delicious Christmas treat my daughter always makes for everyone...she pops the microwave popcorn and then spreads it on a large cookie sheet. Then she melts almond bark, both the white and the chocolate and drizzles it all over the popcorn. I plan on trying the dark, milk and white chocolate chips for this year. Nothing better than chocolate and salt.

That is an extremely old grocery store sale with items like 3 pounds of lard for 23 cents!! Square Deal Grocery, my mother had it framed years ago and I adopted it from her...wish those prices were still good, although I would pass on the lard!!

I don't want this thread to go away either! I spent a couple of hours over the weekend copying the recipes that I hadn't yet on the supper thread. I guess I better do that with this one just in case.

I use to have cookie decorating parties with the kids in the neighborhood and nieces and nephews and my kids. I usually had 10-17 kids! I would make the cookies and have everything to dec. them laid out and let them go to it. They all got a certain number of cookies deopending on how big their family was, they got to take the ones they decorated home. They made a mess, but messes can be cleaned up. It was worth it to see their faces and listen to them talk and laugh. Many hadn't ever had the chance to do that before.

My peanutbutter balls were usually made by my kids, after I ixed it up.

Peanutbutter Balls

1 1/4C. graham cracker crumbs
1C. pwd. sugar
1C. creamy p.b.
1/4C.soft butter
1/2C. chopped nuts
1/2C. flaked coconut

Mix all together, shape into balls. Makes about 3 Doz. I think this year I may try dipping them in choc. all or halfway, what do you all think? Would that be good, or too messy to eat?

These kids can help with also, if kids are old enough to use the stove, they can do it all.

Caramel Heavenlies

12 graham crakers
2C. mini-marshmallows
3/4C. butter
3/4C. br. sugar
1t.cinn.
1t.vanilla
1C. sliced almonds
1C. flaked coconut

Line 15"X1" baking pan with foil. Lay graham crackers in pan; cover with mallows. In saucepan over med. heat, cook and stir butter, br. sugar and cinn. until butter is melted and sugar dissolved. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Spoon over mallows. Sprinkle with almond and coconut. Bake 350* for 14-16 min or until browned. Cool completely. Cut into 2" sqs., then cut each sq. in half to form triangles. Makes about 6 Doz.

I like recipes for Christmas that are easy, quick and good! I have a few that take more time and love during this hectic time of year, so it makes them more special. I make dipped brownies(sometimes) they take a LONG time and are a PITA sometimes, but are more appreciated because of it.

Oven Caramel Corn

15C. Popped corn
1C. br. sugar
1/2C.butter
1/4C.lt. corn syrup
1/2t.salt
1/2t.soda

Heat oven to 200*. Divide popcorn between 2 ungreased baking pans, 13x9x2". In saucepan heat sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt, stir occasionally, until bubbly around edges. Continue cooking over med. heat 5 min.
Remove from heat; stir in soda until foamy. Pour on popped corn, stirring until corn is well coated. Bake 1 hr., stirring every 15min. About 15C.

My kids used to LOVE making these!!

Basket of fruit

1- 3oz. pkg. cream cheese, soft
3-31/2C. pwd. sugar
3 drops almond extract
red and yellow food coloring

MIx cr. cheese and sugar in bowluntil well blended. Stir in almond. Divide into thirds. Color one part pink, one part yellow. Mix yellow and red coloring to make the third part orange. Shape into strawberries, bananas and oranges. Roll oranges and strawberries on smallest holes of grater for texture. Refrigerate. Makes about a pound.

Here are a few cookies that are easy and fun for kids.

Cinnamon S's

1C. butter
1C. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4C.flour
1t.bk.pwd.
2t.cinn.
2T.sugar

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beat until light. Stir in flour and bk. pwd. to make a pliable dough. Chill 30 min.if neccessary.

To shape, divide dough into 6 portions.Roll each protion into ropes 24" long. Divide into 2" strips.

Roll each strip in mixture of cinn. sugar. Twist into an S shape, put on cookie sheet. Bake 375* for 10-12 min. or until firm but not browned.

My oldest daughter liked this the most as her name begins with S.

Candy cane cookies

1 1/4C. butter
1C. pwd. sugar
1 egg
1t.vanilla
1/2t. almond extract
3 1/2C. flour
1/2t.salt
red food coloring
1 egg white
red decorating sugar

Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg and flavorings.
Mix flour and salt, stir into butter mix. Set aside half of dough, tint other half red.
Keep dough chilled for ease in handling. Roll 1t. white dough and 1t. red dough into strips about 4" long. Put strips side-by-side and twist together lightly, pinch ends to hold together.
Put on ungreased baking sheet. Curve one end down to form into cane shape. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with red sugar(I didn't ever do this , as I didn't like making them too sweet).

Bake at 350* for 10-12 min. or until very lightly browned. Cool. Makes 4-5 Doz.

I have a couple of recipes for crescent shaped cookies also, if anyone is interested. For some reason they always seemed to be harder for my kids to shape crescents when they were young.
