Well I went to Wallie World yesterday and bought a string of beeds they were assorted and had good beads for the head and the body. Stand was $1.97 and had enough beads for the head, a bead the body and a bead, I got 14 spiders out of it. I wanted something to hold the head and body together so I got these pins that had a end and put everything together and used the pin for the body, that was 14 of them for $1.97. I came home and got out my bead stuff out. I had the wire and the beads for the legs aready on hand. I figured with everything all the beads and the printed out story that these will cost me about .32 each to make. I took pics and would like to know if they look alright. Thanks

Hi everybody, long time no post!

Love all the spiders. DGD is having a slumber party this sat. for her 10th B-Day. I have been trying to figure out soething fun, easy and not too time consuming to make with the girls. This sound like it!! I will have to check my supplies in my craft closet. Thanks scrambled!

crtrbvr- Thanks for the popcorn recipe-DH will LOVE that!!

2dream- Gotta make that. We only make ice cream here, so we will have to make some extra to try that.

Pinecones, living in the mts. we have bunches! I made turkey centerpieces last year using my chicken and roo feathers for the tail. I make birdfeeders. I found directions in a book on using the individual petals to decorate boxes and baskets. I think I am going to try that. Wreaths are always nice, so are fire starters.
Last year I made firestarters from the pineneedles. I just bunched up some and tied them with twine. Then stacked them in a basket. They are great for starters and help clean up extra needles. I have directions for weaving pineneedle baskets that I am going to try also.

Other than that I will probably make emroydered felt bookmarks, cookies and/or other goodies. I want to make hotplates also. I am almost finished with the embroydery part of a quilt for one of my granddaughters and will start the other one when I am finished. Then just need to do the sewing to put them together. Have to figure out something to make for our oldest granddaughter that lives with us and the one(or three) grandsons. Always make truffles for DH, now will add the popcorn as a surprise.

Nope no pic but I can get more this week sometime and take a pic for you. It has a small bead on one end and then has about 2 inchs of wire. Worked really well to I just threaded the head bead, then a small one, then the body with another bead on the end but I twisted my wire for the leggs between the small bead and the body bead before I finished the twisting of the last little bead to hold it in place.

Man I hate trying to explain something I do, I always think it reads like I am an idiot.

Will try to get in soon and get more.

Zoo, are you talking about those 2" long seamstress pins with the colored ends? Walmrt has them in the craft/sewing section, I've used them for other crafts and they would be great for what she describes. About 30 of them in a package for about 4 bucks? They made 1" and 2" maybe even 3" and they have a colored head on them like a bead..would be perfect if the end is "twistable"!
