I found a different spider set on their site . Are they similar to the ones in the catalog?
Also only $5.97 for kit.
I saw those and to me, they are night and day difference. Those nice heavy, silver metal end caps on my spiders are from the kits in the catalog..the ones you see for the 6 bucks use the pearl looking beads and bendable, cheaper end caps and only the seed beads for legs. The 13 dollar kit has colored beads for the body and an engraved silver bead for the head and then tube beads and seed beads for the legs and of course those great looking end caps...def. an upscale looking spider to the pearl looking ones....worth the extra 6 bucks I promise.
Sundown, how about some pretty colored or white nylon netting from the sewing dept.?
Carrie, if you mean tulle, ya'll can buy a package of that from the Dollar Tree with 10 or 12 already cut circle shaped pieces of it in their wedding section...your soap or bath salts can be wrapped with that. Mine, I normally just wrap a fat piece of ribbon around the center and leave it open otherwise when putting it in a basket. I need some of those taller plastic bags with ties though to put the Christmas jerky I'll make in though..dollar tree has them too..and likely all the ribbon I need too...hopefully they will have the christmas music cds I need too so they'll be cheap. The gift "baskets" I plan to make for the folks that are putting my son in a late model race car next year own a trucking company so I plan to make some cardboard trucks to use as baskets for their gifts, have a sort of plan in my head for those but will take pictures when I get those finished.
The bounty from nature sounds great Diana, the evergreen on a cardboard ring will make a beautiful wreath and the fruit from that tree will be pretty decoration.
I get those oriental trading co catalogs too, very tempting!!! They are really great to order stocking stuffers or sunday school or scout troop gifts from since the itmes are often sold in bulk. Pretty good prices too. When we had our North Carolina meeting in February I ordered alot of chicken related stuff from them to use for my name tags and for door prizes.
I did have 5 of the spiders done, one was for the swap Guitarists started at swap bot and I noticed one now living in my son's room so I am down to 3 now!! Have to get busy and get those made, have several on my list to make!!
Can't remember if I said or not but I ordered the stuff to make those battle bracelets and will post pictures of those whenever that all gets here and I get one made..those will be for my pals in the crochet thread..although they don't know that yet so don't tell them, lol!!!
Have a great day crafters!!! Gotta run
