Thank you Standard Hen! I couldn't believe that I got it done either, but when I went to my mom's to help her out I took the squares with me to get the tops finished. I started putting the backing on last Saturday, and finished them on Friday morning, while my DH took my daughter with him to do chores and make an egg sale in town.

Thanks everyone, when I set my mind to something I can do it, but if I just sit back and try to procrastinate like I did a little, it pushes me even harder. The kids really enjoy them. If I make more I am going to use bigger blocks and batting. I didn't use batting in these, and wish I would have.

Let's resurrect this thread ya'll!!! The ideas and pictures in it are awesome and this is about the time of year I start making a to-do craft list anyway!!! Soooooo...what's everyone else thinking about??! I am gonna sit tonight and go through this entire thread and make some notes!!! lol!!!

I haven't been able to do too much for the past few years because of too many moves, and too many bedrest pregnancies.... I've just done the baking mixes in a jar (usually cookie recipes and brownies) I add a hand painted/decorated apron (or two) and some wooden spoons cut down to kid size if they're for kids, and also hot cocoa mix in a jar. Those go to the chocolate lovers w/ some spoons dipped in chocolate. Usually some baked goodies, and homemade candies.... but this year we're getting settled into our new home with no moves in store.. and no bedrests, so I was just thinking about this topic a few weeks ago! I can finally get back to crafting, and making gifts! After reading some posts on here, I'd like to try soaps too! I can't wait! Perfect time to start the kids on summer projects!

There are soooooo many terrific things in this thread! I know I am doing the soap again and someone mentioned the cake mixes in a jar, like that idea...need to learn how to make bath fizzies....like the glass ornament with paint inside idea......need to make a list, loL!!!!

well since my small business is fudge and ice cream sauces.. that is what pretty much everyone gets plus something else a bit more personal.

I am busy in my production kitchen from Nov 5 til after Valentines Day. Then it slows down some for the summer.
I used to go crazy making cookies as well. But now i leave that to my mom
