New pictures of my hybrids . Pea combs , small crests and beards . Double barred males . About 2 months old . Hope to put the cockerels over the older hens in June .

I've cruised this thread but can't find what I'm looking for. I have a single surviving CCL Pullet who will be under a splash Ameraucana rooster for breeding this year. Any pics of the offspring of any breed splash male over a CCL female? They should be sex linked but I just can't picture the results. Thx.

Here is an update on my CCL Roo x Red Star Hen.

21 weeks- looking pretty, still not laying but looks 2-3 weeks away. Rooster is sensing the hormones from her now!

Has anyone here produced grey egg layers? I found someone who has inadvertently produced grey eggs. I will try to find the link for you guys. I am really intrigued and want to replicate if possible.

She is pretty. You have to post a pic of the egg color, I would love to see it. My one CCL Roo x RIR egg I threw in my last hatch, piped and quit. I have 1 more in with this next hatch and hope it makes it to hatch, since I had to rehome my Roo, no more fertile eggs for me for a while.

Sorry to hear about the roo. Did the neighbors complain or for some other reason?

Some of the neighborhood children were over looking at the chickens, and a little girl says the rooster wakes my dad up during the day. Well it turns out her dad works overnites, they live 3 houses down from me. So, no complaints, but I figured I would rehome before I did get some. He had a very loud beautiful crow though, and he crowed a lot. I will try again, maybe I will come across a Roo that has more control, and doesn't crow so much. LOL
