She is 4 months old, no eggs to share just yet.

I know that the two on the left are pullets. I know that one of dark ones is a cockerel. I believe that all three of the dark ones are cockerels but I want to wait a bit before I say they are for sure. I have more in the incubator to test the theory further.

More in the incubator is the best way to test all kinds of theories !

So i have a question, i bought what i thought were pure bred cream lebars but i am pretty sure that the breeder i bought from is cross breeding. My two roos have feathered shanks!

Yeah, I would say that's a dead giveaway there. Can you post photos of them?

My first CL chicks came from a "first time breeder". She just assumed she was giving me a CL cuz it came from a blue egg. It didn't look right to the folks when I posted it, and it turned out to be a Silver Laced Wyandotte mix. (SLW roo over Lav Am egg.) She needed to keep better track of her eggs, and what her chicks should look like. But it was an honest mistake, not a deception. She got me real CLs on a later hatch.

Hm, well that's not as much feathers on the shanks as I imagined. I think I have read that any breed can get a few stray feathers here and there. He looks like a CL. I guess you'll have to wait and see how he feathers in.

Feather stubs crop up in lots of breeds. I wouldn't use him in my breeding program either but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't a pure Cream Legbar.

Ok great thanks everyone. If anyone just wants a nice roo, i am sure he will be perfect. But i am surely not keeping him myself, for breeding
