algopurple - Thanks. I know I'm trying to stay way from her and its sooo hard. I did just check on them and theres still just one chick and its sooo cute and dry now and I did get to see that another egg has piped, I'll check one more time tonight when I put the chickens to bed.

Congratulations on your 1st bantam egg... they are sooo cute, we get a couple a week from our 2 bantams

Glad to hear another egg had piped. I noticed that none had when you took the pic of the little wet one. I was hoping the others would hatch soon. When I had mine in the bator it seemed once they piped it just a few hours and they were almost dry.
I know most times not all eggs hatch but I really hope all of yours do.
Can't wait to see a pic of them all!

algopurple - The 1 baby chickie is all dry now, it didnt take long and yeah I'm so happy to see another egg piped, I was getting worried, I dont expect them all to hatch, but it would be nice if they did... I'm running to the coop in the morning with my camera

baustin - Thank you... its so exciting! I hope you get to have baby chickies this spring too, I'm already thinking about Baby Chickies and Spring, lol

I have about 10" done on that table runner..pattern that I posted a few pages back...using that same lily and cream cotton christmas yarn...working up very pretty and nothing but a single crochet stitch so really easy. I work on it during lunch hours sometimes when I bring my lunch so I hope to get it finished before christmas and use it as a gift. Hope everyone has a great day

Update on the last 4 eggs... are no good. 3 had nothing in them but egg... the last one had a chick but it was not ready and dead... But the good news is we have 7 healthy BO chickies with momma, Did good for our 1st hatch.

Alright guys I need your help... I'm sooo mad right now I've been working on what I thought was going to be a crochet head-hugger cap... well its not! It looks like a big purple bowl

I'm not going to undo it all... I thought I could just keep working and turn it into something else I guess, like maybe a bag of some kind, purse or a big purple bowl

I was wondering if any of you would be willing to try my pattern and see what you get?! I made sure I followed it exactly... and I made a baby cap earlier today and it turned out perfectly... I dont understand, I think the pattern is messed up

You can keep going and make one of those extremely popular baby snuggies out of it. They make them to look like pea pods, robots, all kinds of things. Drop the baby into it like a sack and they are snugged..look them up online for an idea of their shape but you are well on the way, loL!

Hello everyone!
My puter has been on strike since Thurs. night for some reason. Just got it to come back on now.

Took Mama to Memphis yesterday to have her gaul bladder removed and the really big stone that was in there too. The surgery went really good. I was so grateful to GOD for that!

Jen I loved the baby chick pictures! So glad for you.

The weather has been so nice I have been keeping my windows open since we had new screens installed. I woke up at 5am to the sound of my chickens making the sound that means something is wrong and they were really upset. I went out and they were all bunched up in their coop window trying to get out. I opened the door and shined the spot light all around and found a coon at the very top of the house on the inside in the corner. I freaked out, ran inside, spilled shot gun shells all over the floor, and got my DH out of bed. Neither of us thought about what would happen if we shot a gun that big inside of a metal building. It sounded like a bomb had gone off and we were deaf for a few mins. but the coon is dead. I had to go to work and didn't notice until I got home that he had already eaten my only silver seabright hen.
