Crochet "Chat"

Turned out ok.

I've got a couple of colors, I'm going to use the light shades in the center of each square and darker on the outside, I'm going to make a few different sizes using all the color combo's...
once I get them altogether, joined up I want to back the entire blanket with fleece.... I'll have to test it out first to make sure my sewing machine won't eat the whole thing..

Looks good....... Wildsky

Hey I got a question... 2 of our teenagers are saying my beanies should be longer, they are 7 inches long... what do you all think? That pattern called for 14 rolls, 7 inches.

I make mine to cover ears, however long that is I'm not sure.. I've not crocheted any this year, however the one I made for myself last year, crocheted is 10 inches from center top to last row. It comes really low over my head, down to my neck at the back and the front almost covers my eyes

Its for blowing snow and doing chores!

If they want them longer - add a row or three - ask them how much longer they want them?

Our are just like that too...

SE - I'll have to try doing that, thanks...

I did add on 2 more rounds and I do like that better

Hi, ladies. You can now call me chickenless in Blossom (and bunnyless, too) Finally this weekend, I made the difficult choice to rehome my chickens and bunnies. I've had to get help with the cleaning and general care these past months. It has been a very wet weather situation for several weeks again. I slipped and almost fell again. Guess I'm gun-shy. LOL Anyway, rather than find myself unable to give them the care they should have, I found someone to take them and care for them. I'll just keep the hen house and run cleaned up and maybe, next spring or the next, if my ankle has healed enough to not be constantly swollen to the size of my calf, I can get more chickies and start over.
Haven't been on the forum much lately. Have been trying to do some catch up reading today. Have seen some great projects on this and other threads you've been doing. See some things to add to my "want to do list". Well, I'm off to check out another topic. TTYL

Jen are the beanies hard to make? Since I got this new hair cut I have to actually take the time to blow dry it every night or I will look like Madussa (SP) in the morning and I was thinking maybe if I made a few beanies I could just wear one of those to cover my messy hair on the days I was too lazy to dry it lol.

Algo... Nope not once you know how you like em to fit your head, lol. I had to go down a hook size to get it right and now I love them! Then I started adding 2 more rounds........ going to make one longer to see how I like that

Just make sure you read the 1st 5 rounds real good and pay attention or you'll end up with a big bowl like I did my 1st time

Post a pic if you make some, would love to see em.............

I'm here - check in now and then, I've been busy working on getting a wood stove installed, going really slow - I did the tile work yesterday, I need to cut some tiles and don't have a wet saw, so I have to figure that out..

We tried last night on one tile. We need to cut like 6 of them in half, and we scored it and struggled to break it - I was STANDING On the darn thing! I finally stomped my foot a few times and it broke, but half shattered and the other half a small chunk broke off the corner so unusable.

They're really large tiles, 13 inches square....

If we can't get these cut - they do have smaller tiles that are the same, I'd have to go out and buy another box, and then still have to cut a couple of them. But the smaller 6 inch size would save us shattering a bunch more for no reason.

Hubby tried the circular saw, and it did work but it also chipped away pieces of tile, and he said he didn't want to do that again - it smelled like something was burning.
