Crochet "Chat"

TY everyone for the compliments on the doily. :)

jlynn, for a discontinued yarn, I would suggest going to ravelry.com and posting up your request. It's a site dedicated to the yarn crafts, and some of those folks stash yarn like sewing folks will stash fabric. I'll bet someone there has extras of that specific yarn. Or look on eBay or Etsy, but I'd check on Rav first.

when I started thought I'd have enough, It was yarn i had laying around and I've been working at using up what I have before buying more. I really hate to tair it out. so would any one have some laying around or have an idea of were I can get it. would be glad to buy it from you. need about a skein. Thanks

I mentioned about a week ago that my mom had requested an off-white doily (traditional/classic) and I finished it and blocked it last night, then unpinned and snapped a pic this morning:

I'm feeling quite pleased with it (and want to make one for our coffee table). It's huge - 21 inches in diameter.

I love the pineapple pattern good job!!

Hey guys! I'm hoping one of you crocheters could help....

a friend of mine and I have been searching for this pattern for the past week - and we can't find it. We found something similar, but it's just not it. Do any of you lovely folks have this pattern or know what it's called??

I don't know the name of it but it's easy. It gives the illusion of changing colors every 10th sc but actually it's 10 regular sc's and then one long sc into the second row up 10 more and sc into the second row up. Not a hard pattern. Too easy. The only place you change color is at the beginning of each row

So technically - it's into the 2nd row down? Right? I think I have the picture upside down.

I don't know why it's so hard for me to understand patterns visually - maybe also has to do with why I was so bad in math. lol

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to everyone. I've been so darn busy with family situations. My husbands 99 year old sister (he's the baby at 75) passed away and we drove 3500 miles round trip in 5 days to go to her funeral. Then a few days after that I drove 200 miles round trip by myself to go see my granddaughter that was taking special training with the army near here and I wanted to see her before she went back east. Anyway, I'm going to try and upload the photo of the canopy I crocheted so you can all see it. It was a big project but quite easy to crochet as the pattern was simple.

Oh Betty that is beautiful!!! Well worth the wait!
