Crochet "Chat"

I made a huge market bag for a friend. Hopefully, she can use it out in the garden this summer to gather produce.

I'm working on some more 12" squares for a lapghan right now.
She will love it. It could be used as a duel purpose bag. I would use it for shopping too. I would want to show it off. Very pretty.

Adding some pics of the 12" blocks, though 3 of them seem to be 13" instead.

I need 12 for the lapghan I want to do and have only 6 that are the right size. I can either make 6 more 12" ones and save the larger ones for something else or add edging to the smaller ones to make them larger or I can use the collection of 6" and 7" blocks and do a sampler afghan. What would you guys do? I've been using yarn with sheen like the Caron Simply Soft and Bernat Satin on these large blocks and I think the smaller blocks are comprised of lots of super savers, which as you know, have little to no sheen on them.

I pulled out the small blocks and they're all over the place in yarns used, some with sheen, some cheapy acrylics, all colors. The larger blocks have lots of blue greens/teal and a super pale yellow that is more cream than yellow that Bernat Satin called Banana for some reason.

Favorite chicken saddle pattern? I found one online I am currently trying but I think there must be much better out there.
Anyone thought about making a mini charity of chicken saddles and mailing them out to injured hens?

Just found this cute bunny pattern from AC Moore. It would be great for Easter.

An exact gauge is not necessary for this project. Download template for abbreviations not explained elsewhere. sc2tog (sc dec) = Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook. Note: Work in continous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.

Finishing: Sew on beads to face. With Pink, embroider a straight st triangle for nose. Lightly stuff ears and sew to cozy. Following package directions, make a small pom pom for tail. Sew tail to cozy. Weave in ends.

Spekled: I would probably go with all the same type of yarn. If it is anything like thread it will give you problems with mixing and matching. Either way it will be beautiful. I love sampler afghans.
