To each his/her own.
You didn't ask but I learned in my 20's. First to knit and then crochet. It isn't easy for me since I have "man" (fat) fingers. Women can get smaller stitches.
You can pretty much use many mediums to knit or crochet. Anything stringy.
I've also done Macrame'. I haven't done it in years since it's gone out fo style. Seems to me some folks aren't patient enough and want things now, so they buy them made in China. Some folks are just to lazy.
Has anyone seen the Practical Poultry magazine? TSC has switched vendors and now doesn't have it. To subscribe is $81 a year.
