I am working on a filet stitch of a friends name for a house warming gift. She is post 22 year marriage, and has been living in rental houses since the divorce and has just built her "forever home" on her family's land. So she didn't need the normal practicles you normally get for house warming gifts, so I thought a framed crocheted maiden name for her new house would be perfect.

I started a filet stitch of our last name a few months ago because I wanted to frame it and put it on the wall somewhere in our house, too. I think it is a classic idea. (I got two rows done and ripped it all out since I thought it was too big so I need some smaller thread/smaller hook and I will get back to it!)

We had an older friend who made one for us for our wedding. It has been over our front door for 23 years.

I made slippers years ago but they slide too easy and the kids fell down the stairs. That was before they sold the rubber tread stuff.

i didn't know you could needle felt something on to something crochet dose the crochet item have to be wool too? I needle felted this little hedgehog a while back

I used wool roving yarn. If it's not wool then it won't attach properly. Adorable hedgehog!

Ok, that is what i thought but was not sure, Thanks he came as a kit from Michaels but now they don't have any anymore i wish they did i would like to do more.
