I looked up that retro circle afghan Scrambled and that looks awesome but seems it would take a looooong time to make. Love the soft feel of the yarn too.

I just got taught something neat and new to me!!
It takes, a hook, a broomstick, and some yarn. lol Yup, I like it!
I'll try to get pics in the next few days, she just left, and here's me feeling like she didnt show me enough yet to leave me to it!!

Skand, I believe what you have learned is called "broom stitch lace". There are lots of tutorials online about it, if you need more help.

She also brought me a knitting/crochet mag from march 1977..its plumb full of instructions for shawls! Huge ones,, remember how they used to keep the whole family wrapped up in one of those.. lol

Hey guys,

I have been searching high and lo for an amigurumi chicken pattern. I saw a picture of one, it has a round body, a round head, a beak a tail and some wings and a comb. I have spent about 4 hours

searching for a pattern and have come up with zilch. So if anyone could share any chicken patterns, especially kinda like I described I would be so greatful.. Thanks

I have never done amigurumi before so I definitely need a pattern.

I posted it on the old swap thread...maybe someone who is better at searching can find it. I take forever to find things like that and half the time don't end up finding what I'm looking for

I added a few rows to my spring swap centers yesterday, finished all my baby squares and pretty close to fiishing that daughter afghan so I'll get my swap stuff done after that. Have a great day!!

I am around sort of. I am trying to not be glued to the computer quite so much so that I kind of have some kind of life on the other side of the screen.

I have a house chicken, who has a facial deformity and wasn't doing so well outside....we have had her in the house for about 2 or 3 weeks now. Yesterday....SHE LAID AN EGG!

She has been barren since we got her last september for all we could tell. heh... She's one happy house chicken.

I have to run out to get the kiddo to school. I will try to update more later. I am in a hiding mood today, though...so we will see where I find to hide.
