They just got out of the bath and were still a little wet and not as fluffy as they are now.

Trade ya! Whiney teen for a whiney tot!
At least the teen's know to go to their bed, lay down and dont move unless its to puke in the bathroom!

Chix, Caydence is 4 and still wears pullups, to bed. Cannot get that girl to wake up enough at night to go to the bathroom, go potty, and go back to bed. Then again, Alyssa still wakes me up at 5 am to tell me she needs help finding her bed after going potty.
I put one of those tap-lights right inside the bathroom door, so they can reach it, instead of searching for that switch. It helps, keeps a dim light, so it doesnt blind ya, and they can take it off the wall hanging (thumbtack) and carry it to the bed, then tap it off. Stinks when one has it and gone back to sleep, and the other is up searching for it. I wont let them have it to start the night off, theyd end up staying up playing with the night light.

EEee! Chix! Those Silkies are sooo cute. I want some of my own, but its going to have to wait.
Congrats on the potty training, too!

I am off to see if I can do something about my naughty mini-chickens beating up on my mini-roo.

Queen and Skand, hope the whinies feel better soon!

My daughter was trained before she was 2 and just got it. Never had a problem. Blake is almost 3 and just now going. I'm sure he is going to be more of a challenge, but who knows. If I'm buying half the pull ups I'm going to be happy. Those darn things are expensive and I buy the cheap ones.

Don't worry I wouldn't wish this mess on anyone, it is supposed to warm up over the weekend, then another storm hits us on Monday maybe. That groundhog better not see his shadow this week! Next week I get to try and buy a chain saw to work on all the downed limbs around here.

I will try to take some pics of the police caution tape on the car and post them. Time to go change waterers in the coops!

UAH! GREETINGS FROM WISCONSIN.!! I just put two pair of pants on and I have a shirt, a flannel shirt, and a sweater on. Inside. I am freezing! AND I turned the heat up to 72* which I 'never' do! My toes and fingers feel like icicles. I promise I will never again complain that I am too hot....

And I am in southern Wisconsin! I have my footies on, with a whole layer underneath including socks under the footie part. I am determined to keep my heat low...but oh how I want to turn it up.

I am worried about my house chicken. She's acting not quite herself and she was doing so well. I can't figure out why she is so sleepy...

I hope she is better tomorrow. She has been giving me an egg a day since Tuesday too.

Maybe she's telling you it is nappy time? Has she been drinking good?
I lost my lil spaz last night. Yesterday when me and Caydence checked on them, spaz looked a little sweaty, feathers sticking togather, etc. And Caydence even said she wasnt acting right, wouldnt walk, stand, but dont worry mommy, spaz still loves you and will see you later.. huh? why'd she say that? Then last night, there's spaz, on the brooder floor, deader then a speed bump. So now, the brooder bunch has been moved to the nursery. Well, except hobbles and gimp. My little dislocated legged silkies, they can stay in the brooder.
OH!!! In case you guys might be looking for instant loveable little chickies.. Speckled Sussex!!! THese lil guys, straight out of the hatching tray, LOVE to be petted, held.. talked to.. awww And added bonus! They make the cutest noise so you look in the box to see what's going on.. then they give you even more adorable then puppy eyes, so you have to pick them up and nuzzle their lil heads

Rocket: Hope your chicky feels better. My silkies had another bath tonight and blow dry. They were a bit stinky when I got them.

I made them diapers so they got a clean diaper on and now they are sitting in the chair watching T.V. and dozing off. My husband thinks I'm nuts. I am!
