Crochet "Chat"

Crochet Gurus please I need some help!!!!

I hope no one minds if I barge in here but I really need help if anyone can or wants to

I am so bummed! finally I am ready to make this and I have no idea what I did with the instructions. I have googled and keep coming up with the wrong stitches...

years ago a friend of mine's mother gave me instructions for how to make an afghan
with a stitch that looks like rows of pineapples ..so I google "pineapple stitch"

http://www.freevintagecrochet.com/how-to-crochet/pineapple-stitch

now this is a cool stitch and I am going to bookmark and teach it to myself ..but you know how you just HAVE to do something because your muse hits?? and you know you will do something qute awesome if you just take the time grasp the moment!!!

I want to grasp!!this is something I have always wanted to do ..and now is a good time for me to start doing it! I want to go choose some beautiful yarn and make an afghan
that has rows of tiny pineapples!

but I just have no idea what I did with my instructions

please please please if you have it or can think of something else it is called? or (please) want to help me find it (hopefully free) online? (I dont use ebay or I am sure I could find the instructions there if I knew what it was called)

I would be so grateful for any help at all in this search

I am also going to try to have my son locate any family who still lives in this area just to see if there is a chance I can get it from any of the kids would be cool

thanks so much in advance

is this a rare stitch I wonder because I have only seen it in her house? but honestly I have never looked in a craft store or anything

maybe a library book

HiDelight : Welcome to the crochet chat!

I have a "Deluxe Pineapple Afghan Pattern" bookmarked, but there's no picture of the afghan, or the sticth. It's worked in rows of shells, so it may be something like what you're looking for.

Here's the page:
http://hubpages.com/hub/pineappleafghan

It's one I've planned on beginning for a while.

I'll wade through a few more of my crochet folders in my bookmarks and see what else I can find, LOL.

HiDelight!

As Karan said, someone should be able to help. Hope you stay and enjoy the cozy chat corner! Glad to have you.

Here are some links I found too:
This one has a really bad picture, but maybe it will still work: http://web.archive.org/web/20040803160537/http://www.thesmartyarns.com/Pineapple_Ripple.html

not
a pattern, but a possible source: http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/so-pretty-pineapple-afghans-6-crochet-designs-leisure-arts-3116-paperback

Hopefully
something on one of those links might help. Good Luck!

Good morning everyone! I haven't posted too much on the crochet thread, been doing lots of lurking though... I've been posting a bit on the quilting/sewing and swap threads the last few weeks... I've been doing lots of sewing/quilting to keep up with the other swaps that are happening.

We had a beautiful day yesterday! I got out a did a teeny bit of gardening. I planted some Clematis starts along my fence. Don't have any experience with it, but I'm hoping for the best. Gonna spray my citrus trees for scale today. The little buggers have invaded. May do some work in my veggie bed too...

Have a great day everyone!!

NC, Clematis are really neat and you can train them to run up and along the fence row. I have two planted on an arched trellis at the foot of my front walkway, along with two climbing roses. The Clematis come into bloom first and then the roses. Which reminds me I have to go out and trim the roses this week! Got a few wild branches that need to be corralled!

Just follow the planting/growing directions for them and they will grow very well. Nelly Moser is one of my favorite varities of them, I also have a purple one and a white one. One is an early bloomer and the other is a late bloomer. So my trellis is covered in flowers from spring until late summer. First come the purple clematis, then the pink and yellow climbing roses and then the white clematis. I do have to mulch mine once the weather stays consistently warm/hot though to help keep the ground from getting too dried out.

Good Afternoon Everyone...

I'm waiting patiently

The rain finally just stopped. The guineas are in the yard right now, they have been coming to my yard about the same time everyday and laying eggs in a nest they built... they are one of my neighbors guineas. I need to go see how many eggs are out there now, yesterday there was 5.
I'm going to start crocheting a white baby afghan for my cousin, shes due in a couple of months (dont know exactly if forgot), but she asked me to make her a white afghan. So I went out and got some white yarn today, need to get busy
