So sorry to hear about that. I think my other sizzle egg is dead. It's still not hatched. I don't think I better explore that one.

Day 25 and still nothing. It's been in the 90s here all week.
I have been escaping to the coop and sitting on a bucket and watching the baby in the nursery. I'm in love. Something a little more special when they are hatched this way from your hens.

Here are the 2 that lived. They are so small I put them in my shirt pocket to keep them warm when I brought them inside and my DH almost didn't know they were in there.

They spent all day with the hen but I decided not to let them stay with her cuz we have a new predator lurking. He got 2 hens in the past week. I am planning on sitting up all night with my gun to see if he comes back. I also have a trap set just outside the hen house. I think it is a possum cuz of the teeth marks left on the fake eggs I found this morning.
Thanks everyone for the hugs. It is always easier to deal with when you know you have friends that understand.

Wow, that rooster from the link doesn't even look like it's crocheted! It looks like metal or something. Definitely beyond my skill level.

I apologize for being behind on anyone or mixing up news. I can't keep up with all of it right now. Struggling with the heat and AC balance has me reeling. I think they might need to invent two seasons when people are supposed to hibernate. Heatwave season and winter. Maybe just all of the extreme weather times.

Morning everyone!
Didn't get the sneaky whatever that is keeping me up all night but it took the bait and my trap didn't trip.

Going to do it a little different tonight. Since it got a free meal (spoiled tuna salad) I am hoping it will come back and I can get it this time. No chickens harmed though! We figured out how it was getting in and fixed that. Maybe my girls can sleep better now.
Gotta run to the farm store. Hope everyone drinks lots of water and stays cool.

I might be able to do it. I just use the fact that I don't have a printer to print out the pattern as my excuse for not trying it. Hate trying to read it off the monitor screen. One of these days I am going to get a printer and then have no excuse!
