HELP.... I dont get this patten... has anyone ever made this...

Sometimes I have to actually pick up the hook and start before it falls into place for me. Reading a pattern without doing it sometimes gets confusing.

I've been trying to make it.... I'm trying the infant size right now.... either I'm doing something wrong or I dont know. I dont get how it makes a hat, cause I'm not going in a circular motion... oh I'm sooooo confused, lol

You are thinking it goes around and around the hat, but it could be different so just keep going.

Jen, I read the pattern over & over & it seems like it would make more sense if you join the chain round in a circle & then work your rows from there...though it doesn't say that anywhere. I'm all the time tweaking patterns to my liking...like I hate how you can see where your rows begin when working around & back, so I'll usually just work round & round instead.

Another cute way to make an earflap hat is to make your standard beanie & then attach triangle granny squares for the flaps, edge the whole thing & attach braided ties. K

*blush* Thanks! She's a keeper.
She has grown a ton in the first month. (evidence that I have been spending my time feeding baby instead of being online) She was 6 lbs 4 oz when we brought her home (6/12 when she was born) and she's now... *drum roll* NINE Pounds!

I heard from Ozark on another thread, although I have now forgotten which one, lol!! I think she is Christmas busy like alot of us. Majestic, that baby smell, especially that pink baby magic lotion, is soooooooooo awesome!!!!! Plus little kids have a cool smell all their own anyway, I swear my son smelled like a fresh new puppy after he was cleaned up all the way until he was 11!! I miss those little kid smells sometimes!! Enjoy every second Okie and Rocket becasue you will turn around and they will be 21 and 19 and you'll wonder how the time went by so dang fast!!!
