Crochet "Chat"

Hey everyone! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing and if we all survived the "crazies" people call Christmas! lol

Majestic Lane Poultry~ Good Luck with the socks. Good for you for knitting. I haven't been brave enough to try it yet. One of these days I'll give it a whirl. Let us know how it goes & post a pic.

My google count down says I have 97 more days to go befor the baby gets here!

I am learning to crochet. Just getting started really. I am making "Granny Squares" and so far, I've made 4 of them. Hopefully I can make enough to put an afghan together by the end of the decade.

I've been crocheting 60 years and I still do the granny square in one variation or another. It uses up a lot of scrap yarn. The funny part is I started crocheting afghans for my grandchildren to use up my stash....well guess what? I have more yarn now than when I started since I'd run out of a color and go buy more. My DH just rolls his eyes when he sees me buy more yarn. I also knit so I get extra yarn from that also. Keep working on the granny squares. They'll become second nature if you keep at it. Good luck with them!

I have a small issue that I know someone here can help me with. I crocheted a ladies beanie last night and noticed that every time I finish one the tie off and weave method I was told to use still has an uneven looking line. What I mean is, is you can see where I have stopped. Before it was really prominent, but I started making them where it's a little more subtle. Is there any "magic" I can use to make is disappear?
