Crochet "Chat"

Very cool Alethea! I've heard of yarn bombs, but haven't ever seen any. It looks like they actually crocheted or knitted part of it. There is a local art/craft festival called The Strange Folk Festival that encourages yarn bombs, but I haven't ever been able to attend. It always seem to fall on the same weekend as our Girl Scout Cookie Caravan every yr. Hopefully I can go this year.
It's definitely knitted or crocheted. I'd think knitted, but I saw a crochet pattern which looks similar, so I can't say for sure. It has a seam up one side. It was carefully measured, because it fits well and has held up for as long as it has.

Never heard of a yarn bomb before.

My American Flag afghan is done. It's about 22,000 stitches and took many hours but I'm so excited and it's done for the 4th. God Bless America!

That is absolutely gorgeous. What a lot of work but it has been worth it. I've never seen the flag crocheted before but that is definitely a work of art.

It was really fun and easy. All the base was dc and the stars were single, chain and hdc. All free patterns.
