we have a rooster named crooked neck because one night last week we found him on the ground while the others roosted and his neck was completely crooked. We googled some things and one said it may be an electrolyte Deficiency so we separated him and gave him water with electrolytes in it. We thought he was getting better but before we decided to put him with other chickens his neck was the same way and it hasn’t changed. Please help!

It can make eating very difficult. If you have a nearby pharmacy you can get vitamin e gelcaps. Break them open and drip the liquid right onto the bird’s beak and let it roll into their mouth.

It can be mixed into a bit of food that you know they’ll eat such as a bite of scrambled egg (eggs contain high amounts of selenium)
Yogurt or applesauce.

Selenium (tablets) can be broken into bits

Same with a mixed B vitamin too.

I think stacyj meant B1 thiamine in post 2, instead of B2. X2 on treating with b complex and vitamin E. Extra selenium is usually not necessary, but some egg can be given in small amounts, and that has selenium.
