Cutting the feed cost of chickens

Hello, I have 90 baby chicks and I was wondering how much I will have to feed them a week. Also how could I cut the feed cost of feeding the 90 birds. If you have any advice please let me know. Thanks!​

For full grown birds they usually eat a quarter pound of food per day. You can cut cost down by free ranging. Chicks need the starter feed to grow so I wouldn’t cut that at all.

The best way to cut cost is feed a quality feed (don't cut nutrition to save a few $ they will either need more feed to get appropriate nutrition, need supplemental additives or be in subpar condition....all of which cost rather than save) and eliminate feed wastage either by using a feeder that eliminates spillage or using a feed approach like fermented feed.
