Got about 6 or so of them this time round.
Some were solid black as predicted, some are silver quail (split to lav, I'm sure) So shouldnt be hard to finish them out this fall. The splits may even be an easier way to go than the blacks. Keeping them all to be safe though. By all logic, I should be able to take the splits back to lavender one more round and have them. The blacks would take 2 more rounds.... Sure hope they are true splits!

I think I would like to see some Fawn Reds in d'anvers. Your Black Breasted Red are exceptional and seeing a Fawn color replacing the black in those birds would make for some lovely birds I would think, especially the males. They may be on your list of breeds you are working on, just thought I would chime in BTW, love all the pics of your birds. Only raised d'anvers once, had a nice pair of Quail years ago but I really do like your BBRed and the Silver Quail.

I do have plans to work the dun into some of these colors. Going to try to get some solid duns first then plan to put them over the cuckoos and bb's at least, and maybe a few more. Once I get the duckwings going a couple years from now, I'll definately get them in dun too. Thaks a lot and yep, a fast forwaard button sure would be nice as far as the projects go. That and some one to build pens nonstop!, CLINT????
Thank yall though, and any color ideas are always welcome! I think the dun reds would look great too, same in the cuckoo.
And, yep Clint caint wait to get the blue reds, I'm sure there'll be some splash in there too, probley play with them a bit in the self blues too... Man, I got a bunch of breeding to do!

wont be long now I hope and all will be going strong, really looking forward to those firts duns, killing me to see what the khaki versions are going to look like.... Bye for now

wont be long. Selling some blue quail and blacks on ebay now. They are laying best of all of them right now. The others are just getting started. Looks like March should be going well with most of them.

Just wanted to say I am waiting for some of BBB blacks from e-bay now. They should be here tomorrow. I am so excited. I have one quail hen now that I have only had a few months. She is so sweet. I can't wait for more. And I am sure they will be awesome birds from BBB pictures. Just hope this cold weather doesn't cause to many problems with the eggs.
