The blue pipper is breech.... what’s my chances of survival on that guy?

The tan egg pipper is my buff Orpington Marans mix! Woo here we go... but I have to go to work now :(
I have never had a breech nor have I read up on them. Pipping is a good sign, Hopefully when you return from work you will have zipper pips on the others. I was getting worried about your hatch going into day 21 however you have a pip now and hopefully the others are not a breach.

I saw a couple others moving a little bit so I hope more start breaking through over night

in my experience chances of survival on breech are very low.....i have had some that pipped toward the middle that hatch fine but mine this hatch pipped the small end with a foot and his head was twisted up underneath. we attempted an assisted hatch but it had not yet absorbed all the yolk and only survived minutes after putting it back in the incubator. in previous hatches those that pipped wrong end were DIS.

Five so far
And 8 more pips

Anyone else think they're SO much cuter on day 3? More behaviors, more personality.

I gotta move the Turkey eggs to lockdown tomorrow, incubators cleaned and plugged back in. Thursday I gotta move the next batch of chickens.

Then that's IT until February! Promise. LOL

@Tbjenkins2007 I'll bet you $1 that in the second picture, the middle black one is a boy and the solid black one behind it is female.

Yes, the first day or 2 they are lethargic and just sitting under a heat source stretching out. Day three until the end of week 2 is my favorite period to watch them during. After 2 weeks they start to lose the chick cuteness a bit
