BC, I doubt there are more than 8. It's possible some where still hiding, but unlikely. But 8 is a confirmed number at least.

I ordered red tuxedo coturnix quail eggs. Josh is thrilled. He about died when I asked of he would eat quail if we raised them up. Already have someone else who wants them too. Thinking about ordering some other eggs from someone else too. I couldn't find only red tuxedo from anywhere but strombergs. Hopefully they do good.

did you order the eggs from Strombergs?

My Marans rooster (yes, the Marans, the perpetual headache that is also the only breed that has made me money this year)... was found outside of his pen this morning, on the ground right outside the duck pen, dead... but with no visible wounds.


I am not sure what happened. His corpse looked perfect.

I am also not sure how he, and one other hen, got out of the vegetable garden.

I saw them last night, ......


Whatever... sad

I am going to see if I can get a rooster back from all of the chicks that I sold this spring... we shall see.

Check out his line of quail. I have recently read that some of his lines are now available in the US, more research required.
