Dixie Chicks

actually i have a big bag of dog hair collected from brushing him out this spring. Wonder if that would also deter the fox a bit.

How about taking him for a walk and let him hose down every tree around your immediate area... They mark for a reason to claim their territory...

Hubs could do it too...

Pee is a great deterrent for some animals, but not for others.

I pee all over by my chicken coops.... I sometimes forget to check to make sure that no one is looking

I lost another chick today.... I don't think they are eating like they should ... Which is odd... They have older chicks that eat well and should be teaching them....

I lost one of the Phoenix the other day. I figured the teeny tiny one wouldn't survive, but it's still going strong.

My shipped chicks, the d'anvers, look good now... I only lost the one after arrival, two lookd iffy, but I force fed them and they perked right up and have been lovely.

I have been loosing the chicks I hatched from the incubator!!!

Three have died for no reason now... Except that I don't think that they are eating like they should.... I have tried force feeding them once, but it wasn't very successful.

My coop seems to be secure enough at the moment. No one seems to break into a door that is being held shut with a big block of wood. When free ranging is when the fox problem occurs. I lost the quail to the fox as he was able to dig into the run at that time and that problem is now fixed too.

Sorry to hear about your losses...

well sheesh... my eggs are coming out of my ears... even with getting rid of 7 dozen yesterday... I will try that... but it might be harder to force feed...

I am not sure I can get them to eat any food that I just put in front of them.
