Do you bathe your chickens? Whether for show or just cuz they are filfy let me know!

I don't show birds so it's not necessary.

Some of my white ones are a bit dingy -- roosters don't wipe their feet before they mate and leave dirty tracks on the girls' backs -- but they keep themselves as clean as is appropriate for a chicken.

I gave one girl a bath to get rid of a horrendous poopy mess on her hind end.

I used to every year for fair. Don't show in fair anymore, so I don't. If someone has a dirty butt, I just cut the feathers off

Just when they’re dirty in their backside! They really hate getting all wet! I did bathe a while Wyandotte once, then blow-dried her- she hated that!

In all of my 4 years of keeping chickens I've only had to bathe 2 of them.

Blamo, because she had a dirty bum.

Only when they have a dirty butt, and I wouldn't call it "bathing", it's more along the lines of holding them in one arm like a football with their head facing my elbow and the hose nozzle put on gentle shower, then I spray away the poo

I really need to bathe my polish. Her white crest is brown lol I bathed my 2 silkies and polish when I bought them because they were really dirty and I towel and blow dried. Surprisingly they didn't mind the blow dry that much and were pretty good in the bath tools
