Have y'all gotten them to behave around small animals?

I've had 6. All rescues. Up to 3 at once.

All have been fine with small dogs and my 6# cat.

Wild small animals were tug-of-war objects. Out of the six, my current girl would have had the best shot at being good with my chickens. But still a risk. She is a woodchuck killer and killed a rabbit with her previous owner.

I didn't bother trying to get my dogs to accept my flock for many reasons not the least of which is because I don't leave my dogs out. They go out to go potty and they go out when I take them for their daily runs or when I go to stores that permit them entry. Otherwise they're house dogs.

On the boxer topic, i have seen some horribly bred ones and they are ugly. super buldgy eyes. Way over weight. Some have underbites. But the well bred ones are cute
I find some of the underbites kind of endearing LOL but I know it’s not good for them so I would only ever rescue one with that not breed it.

Boxers are supposed to have underbites. They were originally bred for bull baiting, and were designed to grab the bull by the nose and not let go. It allows them to breathe while doing so. I've never had any problems with the underbite.

There are some poorly bred ones out there. Also I understand not everyone find them attractive, but that's okay. They have a fun personality, and love their people. They are great dogs for those that are a good fit. Like kids, even if your boxer is ugly you only see them as beautiful.

I love Boxers
They use their feet a lot when playing, and it's one reason they believe they were named boxers. Boxers have a way of playing that is very animated. Boxing and spinning, and flinging toys around, and, just all over clown behavior. It's one reason I choose them over a Doberman. They play for most of their lives. I'm not familiar with how Doberman play. I do see they are fond of gathering toys, and carrying them around.
