Does everybody do regular worming?

Now that is impressive!

I've had mine for 18 months and had never wormed. Then I started noticing a few of them were dropping weight for no reason. (they eat fine) So I'm now worming them as a precaution and it's killing me to throw those eggs away. But it's better than losing a hen. We'll see if it helps.

I would worm any new birds coming into my flock though. Don't want to introduce anything from a new bird to my flock.

So I bought DE yesterday that was also called fossil flour and instructions read to put some in the food. Should I throw the eggs out now? I regret doing it now that I've read this thread...

The DE you purchased is food grade (I'm presuming, since it says fossil flour) and there is no need to throw out your eggs. You could eat the DE yourself if you wanted.

No, you wont have to throw the eggs out but if you plan to use DE you will have to mix it in there feed every day for it to work right..
DE is more a preventive and not a actual wormier.
