Dogs killed chickens, ready to give up. *Another chicken killed.*

No one has suggested a big water cannon (water socker) some dogs will think it fun some will hate it - If the animals are light colours put some bright food die in the water then you can bug your naughtbour when her dog comes back blue or pink!! Haha.
I could never shoot a dog unless it was hurting my child these animals sound like they are possible poorly treated so reporting them to animal welfare would be best and if they are pink you can ID them very easyly!! TEHE.

Best of luck your naughtbour sound like someone that needs to be put down and the sort of person I love to hate and you can tell her I said that and her dogs can meet my Cockrell so far he has killed a fox here trying to hurt his flock. So I'm sure he would give them a run for there money certainly scare them some sares the poop out of me!!

I know this is not a joke for you, but I forgot all about this until I read the last post regarding food dye. A good friend of ours had a similar problem with neighborhood dogs and this is what he did.... He got his paint ball gun out with green and yellow paint balls...
He put up a giant sign in his front yard that said,

If your dog comes home with green paint on him - consider it a friendly warning!
If your dog comes home with yellow paint on him, consider that your final warning.
Because if your dog comes in my yard again after that, you won't see him again....

He said he only had to fire off a few green warnings and everyone's dogs seemed to stay in their yards from there on out.

The only problem here is that that stupid neighbor doesn't give a hoot what happens to the dogs.... grrrrrrrrr

I hope you and the birds are well.

Poor chickens were so mad at me today, left them in the run all day.

Picture of one of the "stray" dogs sat on my neighbours porch.

I let them out for an hour just before sundown, most of them wouldn't come out though. For the few that did, was worth sitting out in 90% humidity and gaining several mosquito bites so they could stretch their legs for a while.

On chicken watch.

Someone who came out to say hello. Start of a problem? I don't know yet.

Going to call Animal Control in the morning, hoping and praying that they will come out and get the dogs. That is the best outcome.
I think the paintball idea is great, just not on these dogs. The neighbour has already told me to call SPCA to get them taken away, so she doesn't seem to care what happens to them.

Fingers crossed.

Ya gotta feel bad for dogs in a way... they dont know what they are doing..
*sigh* I dont know...

The water cannon was a serious suggestion, just trying to bring asmile to peoples face'sbut seriously if any animal gets hit with a powerful jet of water they won't like it. Its been used on dog for sinple dog training exercises with small water pistols etc. But I'm figuring that the lady might have to stand by her back door and be able to fire off from a distance so even a really good hose - or as suggested a paint ball gun sounds great no "harm" done to the dog but man it hurts if you are hit with one of those things close and that would proberly scare them off.

You could also buy some fire crackers, this is what they are called in the UK so you might have to do a bit of resurech but are avalible from joke shop's. When chucked at the floor they bag like mini fire works and this will give a dog a scare - Most dogs hate fire works!!!

Maybe it's the $*@&# neighbour that needs to get it in the face with the water cannon...

I would pay to see video of that!
Seriously though, sounds like a good deterrent for those dogs, aside from them being taken to a rescue group or some other place that would rehome them. Preferably far from your property and with responsible individuals who would make sure they weren't running free to cause whatever sort of havoc.

Yeah poorly trained from the start. Electric fence works.

I've just called animal control, he said a report will be filed with one of the officers, no idea when they will be coming.

I really hope they will be out soon. I said they were stray dogs, but I don't know if they will get weird with me when I point them to the neighbours house.
