I'm new here and to chickens. I am searching for Dominique info and for others that have them that might be of help, BUT, no info and no Dominique breeders list. I was collecting names of members having them, IF they displayed their signiture as having them, but it is very time consuming. So I totally agree that we need BREED PAGES and somehow could group members that have them be in their somehow? It would be very helpful to newbies like myself. I am willing to help but like I said "I'm pretty new to chickens", but I do have a little experiece hatching emu and ostrich.

I do not have any Dominiques, but hope to one day. I have this book which is all about Dominiques (it is a great book):

I sent Mark Fields (the author) a check and asked him if he had any books left to mail me one & he did.

Bryan K. Oliver in South Carolina breeds Dominiques and is Secretary of the Dominique Club:

Also, at home I have Breeder Directories for both the American Livestock Breeder Conservancy (ALBC- http://www.albc-usa.org/ ) & Society for the Preservation of Poultry Antiquities (SPPA- http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/SPPA/SPPA.html) (I am at work), and there are a number of Dominique breeders listed-- I'll be happy to PM you with some contact information if you would like.

I have one dom. She is about 5-6 months old. No egg yet.

Sorry the pic sucks. I noticed that some breed pages on this site are good, describe standard and what not, but others are just pictures.

This is my dominique roo (herbie) I have two hens also. I will probably put them in the breeding pen in the spring. I wasn't sure how much interest there would be in them.

Shack and Daycaremom...You both have great looking roos. I wish I had studied up on the breed before I chose my roo. I chose him because of his great size and he kicked his other two brothers butts, I think he killed one of them. I also have a trio. My first spring with chickens. I am building a small shed (hatchery) and I have almost designed my incubator. I get 1-2 egg per day from my Dominiques. I really would like to trade some eggs with someone just so I can have different genetics.
Here are mine ,

My Delawares are laying 1-2 per day also so I could trade 3 Doms and 3 Dels to ANYONE, next week. Monday will be 3 weeks since they've been separated by breed.
here's my Dels,
